Police say that victim got a call from a man pretending to work for a company the victim used.
The man told the victim that he would be given a refund, and used a download to gain access to the victim’s bank account.
After that, he pretended to add too much money to the victim’s bank account, and asked the victim to send more than $4,000 in cash through the mail.
After sending the money, the victim realized the money was never really deposited in his account.
