UPDATE: 1/13/20 9:19 a.m. (WTAJ) – Further details from police indicate one of the two teens involved is a 17-year-old from Seward, PA who was babysitting the child at the time. Another 18-year-old was also present, both permitted the 2-year-old to inhale from a vaping device after the child had taken it off a nightstand.
There is no family relationship between the teenagers and the child. The device is believed to have contained 3% nicotine but no THC.
Upon gathering this information, troopers notified the child’s parents, who were unaware of the incident. It was also reported to Children and Youth Services.
This remains an active investigation and charges of Endangering Welfare of Children are pending against both the 17-year-old female and the 18-year-old female
INDIANA, Pa. (WTAJ) — In a tweet made by Pennsylvania State Police, police confirm that charges are pending after a Snapchat video sent to them show a two-year-old being handed a vape device.
State Police say the persons involved have been identified and charges are pending. State Police add that additional information will be released tomorrow.
