This past weekend in State College was the student-created drinking holiday known as State Patty’s day. Students created the event in 2007 because they would be out of town for St. Patrick’s Day.
Emergency calls have dropped in recent years and Centre Life Link Ems reports another decrease in call volume this year.
Between 6p.m. Friday and 6a.m. Sunday, LifeLink handled 34 calls. Most of those were alcohol related.
Last year, they responded to 50 total calls.
