Updated numbers from State Patty’s Day last weekend confirm a signficant drop in crime during the student created drinking holiday.
State College police tracked calls about a crime in progress between noon Friday to noon Sunday. There were 96 calls about an ordinance violation in town. That compares to 144 calls last year. They made 53 arrests this year, 134 last year. In most cases the statistics this year are the lowest in the last 9 years. The chart in the photo in this story also includes numbers for calls handled by Penn State Police.
