Local News

Monday night State College Area school board voted to take steps to remove asbestos from two of their older buildings.

The Corl Street and Radio Park Elementary schools are both going through renovations-and Monday night the board unanimously approved money to pay for the asbestos removal phase of those projects.
That work is expected to cost about 50-thousand dollars per school and will be finished by the end of Christmas break.
