State College School District to sue charter

State College Area School District is pursuing civil action against the now closed Wonderland Charter School
At their meeting on Monday night, State College’s school board voted unanimously to pursue that legal action.

They’re looking for at least $49,000. Which is the payment the district made to wonderland in July of this year, before reports of educational code violations forced it to shut down.

District administrators said they sent a letter to Wonderland requesting the money be returned. But haven’t received a response.

The district says the July funds allocated to Wonderland were taxpayer dollars.
