A Spring Mills man is facing over a dozen charges related to animal cruelty after three cows were
were reported dead on his farm.
When a police officer arrived at Joseph Fahy’s farm, she reported seeing two dead cows in the pasture, with no hay stocked.
When the officer tried to walk into the pasture, she said she sank past her knees in mud. She explained that the shelters at the farm were “unlivable.”
Fahy reported that a third cow died sinking into that mud and said he didn’t realize that conditions were so poor.
The officer also reported seeing numerous skeletons of what appeared to be goats and two pigs.
Fahy is charged with 12 misemeanor counts of animal neglect and three counts of cruelty to animals.
His priliminary hearing is scheduled for April 3rd.
