Basketball players hit the hardwood Tuesday night to raise money for cancer and local families in need.
It was the 3rd Annual Sideline Cancer Charity Basketball Tournament.
The Bishop Guilfoyle Boys Basketball team faced off against local alumni players to raise money Tuesday night..
The Griffith Family Foundation hosted the event, and has decided that half of the proceeds will even go towards to two local families facing medical emergencies.
“When you do acts of kindness for others when they least expect it, it means the most. When my dad diagnosed with cancer the community raised countless dollars to help my family so we know what that feeling is like to be like, thank God somebody helped us so we try to do that for other people,” said the Griffith Family Foundation’s Jordan Griffith.
The other half of the money raised will go towards pancreatic cancer research.
