The Ridgway School District is teaming up with CenClear to provide free pre-school for children in the area.
The state approved funding to add the program this upcoming school year.
There are requirements families must meet for their child to be eligible, but the school district says it’s important for children who wouldn’t otherwise receive the education.
“The skills that they learn in Pre-K will actually help promote their achievement and growth into our kindergarten,” FSG Elementary Principal Pam Yeager said. “These are skills that they’re going to use for the rest of their life into middle school, high school and way into adulthood as well.”
If you’re interested, there will be a registration night tomorrow at the FSG Elementary School from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm.
