Roads closed due to flooding

PennDOT released a list of roads closed in Blair and Somerset Counties as of 8pm Sunday. The list of roads is below: 

Multiple Roads Closed Across the Region Due to Flooding 8:00PM 

Hollidaysburg– Motorists are advised that roadways across the region are closed due to flooding and they should use caution while traveling tonight and tomorrow as rains continue.

The following roadways will remain closed until the water recedes and it can be checked for any damages.

Blair County:

-Route 764 from the intersection of Burgoon Road to the intersection of Logan Boulevard both in the City of Altoona.

-Route 2007 (Reservoir Road) from the intersection of Chris Street/River Road to the intersection of Locke Mountain road in Frankstown Township.

-Route 2020 (Royer Mountain Road/Locke Mountain Road) from the intersection of Reservoir Road to East Loop Road in Frankstown Township.

-Route 2022 (Juniata Valley Road) from the intersection of Route 22 to Upper Reese Road in Frankstown Township.

-Route 3003 (Knob Road/Knob Run Road/Allegheny Street/Puzzletown Road) from the intersection of Poplar Run road to the intersection of Weaver Road in Freedom Township.

Somerset County:

-Route 219 from the intersection of (Moser Road/Engles Mill Road) in Elk Lick Township to the Maryland State Line.

-Route 3003(Jersey Hollow Road) from the intersection of Brushtown Road in Lower Turkeyfoot Township to the intersection of Groff Road in Ursina Borough.

-Route 281 from the intersection of Pa 523 (Oden Street) in Confluence Borough to the intersection of Second Street in Ursina Borough.

-Route 2003 (Saint Paul Road) from the intersection of Route 669 (Springs Road) to the intersection of Rock Station Road in Elk Lick Township.

-Route 1004 (Main Street/Corner Stone Road) from the intersection of Spangler Street in Shanksville Borough to the intersection of Park Road in Stonycreek Township.

-Route 2004 Mount Davis Road/Broadway Street) from the intersection of Rockdale Road in Summit Township to the intersection of First Street in Meyersdale Borough.

-Route 2005 (Matlick Road) from the intersection of Mount Davis Road in Elk Lick Township to the intersection of Mount Davis Road in Summit Township.

-Route 3007 (Humbert Road) from the intersection of Route 281 (Kingwood Road) in Lower Turkeyfoot Township to the intersection of Route 281 (Kingwood Road) in upper Turkeyfoot Township.

-Route 4023 (Blacks Hill Road/Million Dollar Highway) from the intersection of Route 30 to the intersection of Route 601 in Jenner Township and Boswell Borough. 

-Route 403 from the intersection of Dunlo Transfer to the intersection of Krings Road and Soap Hollow Road in Conemaugh Township. 

PennDOT urges motorists to be alert to water on roadways, obey warning signs and traffic control devices, and never drive through flooding or standing water on roads. Shallow, swiftly flowing water can wash a car from a roadway. Also, the roadbed may not be intact under the water.
