UPDATE: The roadway is now open in the area of 17th Street and Valley View Boulevard.

A 2020 Mustang was traveling west when it struck a 2007 Chevrolet Truck that was traveling south into the intersection from McMahon Road, according to Logan Township Police.

An 8-year-old juvenile from the truck was transported to UPMC Altoona with severe injuries as well as another juvenile from the truck and the driver of both vehicles. The second juvenile and both drivers suffered moderate injuries, according to a press release.

Both vehicles were disabled from the crash and towed from the scene.

A witness reportedly told police they witnessed one of the cars run a red light going down 17th Street, causing the crash. Speed may also be a factor, they said.

The cause of the crash is currently under investigation by the Logan Township Police Department.
