“Rare” Snow Day at Penn State

Local News

Thursday morning, students at Penn State got a pleasant surprise as the storm caused the university to close classes down after 11 o clock.

Even though the snowfall was just starting around that time Penn State officials chose not to take any chances after hearing the forecast.

Students tell us it’s extremely rare for Penn State to completely cancel school for snow so they’re making the most of it.

“I feel incredible, I mean I’m kind of at the point in the semester where I’m ready for a break to start, so I’m excited to go home,” Emily Taylor, Senior at Penn State, said.  “So, yeah it’s a good snow day here, I’m excited.”

As of Thursday night at 11, classes were expected to resume at Penn State on Friday morning at 5.
