President Trump sent out a flurry of tweets this morning about the testimony of his former lawyer and fixer. The president called Michael Cohen discredited and said he committed perjury. He also called his congressional hearing this week “fake testimony.”
Cohen gave about 30 hours of testimony on Capitol Hill this week and he’ll be back again next Wednesday. He claims to have more evidence to back up his allegations.
“We have additional document requests that we’ll be in discussion with him about,” said California Democratic Congressman Adam Schiff.
Based on Cohen’s testimony, Democrats are calling more of President Trump’s former allies to the Capitol.
The House Intelligence Committee hopes to grill the Trump Organization’s Chief Financial Officer, Allen Weisselberg, about his alleged involvement in hush money payments.
