Police are searching for suspects and warning homeowners after a brazen burglary in Tyrone Borough.

It happened Friday afternoon near W 22nd Street and Madison Avenue.

Police said one suspect lured a person away from their home, saying he was a surveyor and needed to know more about the homeowner’s property line. While he distracted the victim, police said a second suspect went into the home and stole several items before the pair both took off.

The actors were said to be driving a white or silver car. Officers described the one as a thin male wearing a white hoodie and the other as a short, heavy set male.

Police are reminding everyone to keep your doors locked and always report suspicious people in your neighborhood.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to contact the Tyrone Police Department at 814-684-1365.
