Bellefonte, Centre County, Pa- WTAJ has an update on the old Bellefonte Armory, which has sat vacant since the Pennsylvania National Guard moved out about 9 nears ago.
The property was bought by the Borough of Bellefonte in 2013. Two buildings on site, built in 1930, are considered historic sites and cannot be torn down.
Since buying the property, the borough has considered different ways of using the property and has communicated with a business that repurposes historic buildings.
Plans for the property have been put on the back-burner by the borough, while they focus on completing a sales agreement of the Bellefonte Waterfront property.
According to Borough Manager Ralph Stewart, the Waterfront property deal will be closed this April.
