Pennsylvania sees drop in juvenile crime

The number of new juvenile delinquency cases in Pennsylvania is at an all-time low.

According to the Administrative Office of Pennsylvania Courts, the state has seen a 52 percent decrease in new juvenile delinquency cases from 2007-2016.

Juvenile delinquency cases in Pennsylvania are typically handled at the county level. They are typicaly resolved through informal adjustment programs and probationary measures.  

The top three places in the state with the highest number of new juvenile cases include Philadelphia, Allegheny County and Delaware County.
