Penn State’s main campus has canceled classes for the day due to an anticipated drop in temperatures and expected icy conditions.
The University dismissed students at 12:30 p.m. and faculty and non-essential staff were released at 1 p.m.
Normal operations are set to resume at 5 a.m. on January 25. Officials are watching conditions and will send updates as needed.
Only previously identified essential staff should stay behind after the release time.
Both employees and students are encouraged to use caution when traveling.
