(WTAJ) — Pennsylvania has seen an increase in kinship care placement over the last five years.
Court data shows that over the last five years, the placement of children in kinship care has nearly doubled. The Office of Children and Families in the Courts tries to place children in the care of someone they know or someone that they have a relationship with…this could be a family friend, a relative, or a coach.
This photo shows court data, including the average number of children entering the dependency system per year, placement trends and the demographics of the children.
