Nursing home collects over 200 pounds of food

Local News

A food drive competition wraps up between both locations of Dubois of Continuum Care.

DuBois Nursing Home and DuBois Village competed to see which location could collect the most food.

Throughout March, residents and visitors brought in canned goods and monetary donations.

All the donations go to the DuBois Area Food Pantry.

While the winner isn’t known yet– the locations collected over 250 pounds of food.

“It is just such a great service to our community,” Melissa Huffman with DuBois Nursing Home said. “For those in need, for those who can’t do it for themselves, and for us to support our community, it’s very important for us.”

The nursing home holds this drive in March each year for National Nutrition Month.
