Route 28 in Jefferson County reopened after tractor-trailer crash

ROSE TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WTAJ) — Route 28 in Jefferson County is back open after a tractor trailer hit a car Monday afternoon.

Crews were called to the crash around 12:30 p.m. Jefferson County Emergency Services reports two medical helicopters were called to assist.

Police have not released the extent of any injuries.

Witnesses say there were three people in the car.

“I woke up to what sounded like a large car crash,” witness Adam McAniach said. “I came outside and there was a semi-truck with a black car right in front of it, which was my one friend and her sister.”

Pennsylvania State Police are investigating what caused the crash.
