Man charged after hole burnt into Centre. Co. Courthouse

Bellefonte, Pa- An arrest is made in connection to a pair of recent attempted arsons in Bellefonte.

48-year-old Dennis Hassinger was identified on surveillance video by Centre County Sheriff Bryan Sampsel.

The video shows Hassinger lighting and throwing an object onto the roof of the Centre County Sheriff’s Office and the Centre County Courthouse.

Sampsel says Hassinger attempted to disguise himself with a hood, but Sampsel and other officers were still able to identify him.
Hassinger is charged with five felony counts of arson, and two felony counts of reckless burning or exploding.

His preliminary hearing is scheduled for November 14th.
