STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (WTAJ) — A Penn State graduate student recently arrested for criminal trespassing in Ferguson Township, is now being charged with rape.

Ferguson Township Police say a DNA-Test from 23-year-old Nnaemeka Ani matched evidence from the crime scene.

Officials say they also matched Ani’s muddy shoe prints found at an Aaron Drive Apartment.

Police say on October 18, 2017, the victim woke up and saw Ani in her bedroom. She tried to yell for her roommate and push him away before he allegedly raped her.

Officers received at least 11 reports of a man entering apartments on Aaron Drive since Fall 2017, and in 3 cases women said they awoke to see a Black man who then ran from their bedrooms.

Ani is now facing multiple charges including rape and sexual assault.
