State College, Pa- Wednesday night is Halloween! And that means trick-or-treat night for many across the region including those in Centre County.
WTAJ has a few tips to stay safe this Halloween:
One of the key ways to stay safe one Halloween is to stay together…for middle to high school kids that means staying with a group.
And for parents of young trick-or-treaters, keep a close eye on them. Especially if you’re going out to an area that’s not well lit. Often a dark costume makes it tough for drivers to see those dressed up, and if trick-or-treaters are wearing a mask, it’s tougher for them to see oncoming traffic
WTAJ spoke with State College police to hear what you can do to make sure you’re seen by drivers
Lieutenant. Greg Brauser from State College Borough Police said, “Parents are encouraged to make sure that your kids are carrying flash-lights…glow sticks… use reflective tape or reflective material to make them more visible to motorists, and motorists be aware there’s going to be a lot of kids out in traffic tonight.”
