Local police department looking for interns

LOGAN TOWNSHIP, BLAIR COUNTY, Pa (WTAJ) — A local police department is bringing back its internship program after two years.

Logan Township Police Department said all college students are welcome to apply.

They’re accepting students year round.

They said the goal of the program is to teach interns everything that goes into keeping the department up and running.

Chief David Reese said one of his officers started as an intern.

“It makes you feel really good that we’re reaching out to the community, and we’re getting resources that are here and people that are here that want to stay here in Blair County,” he said.
