Local musicians talk about favorite Grammy memories

Local News

WTAJ went to The American Ale House in State College to catch up with locals musicians about their favorite Grammy memories and parts of the historic show.

“I remember the first year I was finally allowed to stay up and watch the Grammy’s instead of having to go to bed and find out the next day who won,” Molly Countermine, Singer Songwriter, in State College, said.  “I was like 14 and “The Police” won and they were one of my favorite bands at the time, so I thought that was cool.”

“There’s always one or two that catch you off guard, and it’s for a prime time audience,”
Ted McCloskey, Singer Songwriter, in State College said.  He says for local young aspiring musicians, just play,”
He says there’s plenty of local places to play and open mics to go to.
