Local K9 to receive protective vest

ALTOONA, Pa. (WTAJ) — A local police dog is getting an important new piece of equipment.

The Logan Township Police Department has announced that K9 Freddy will receive a bullet and stab protective vest.

The body armor is being donated by the non-profit organization, Vested Interest in K9s.

It’s expected to arrive within eight to ten weeks.
