A local national guardsman has been jailed for threatening to kill Vice President Mike Pence.

22 year old William Dunbar of Berlin, Somerset county is charged with disorderly conduct and making terroristic threats. Police say Dunbar make the threat Saturday, when he was on duty at the Army National Guard Training Center in Richland Township. He allegedly told fellow guardsman on two occasions,  ‘if someone pays me enough money, i will kill the vice president.” Those that heard Dunbar told police that they were fearful of the threats and told their commanding officers. Vice President Pence was in Somerset County Monday for the anniversary ceremony honoring Flight 93 crash victims.

The charges Dunbar is facing are both misdemeanors. Dunbar was given a mental evaluation and is now in the Cambria County jail in lieu of $250,000 bond.
