Bottle Works Ethnic Arts Center in Johnstown is hosting a Kentucky Derby party on Saturday.

There will be a southern-style buffet, mint julep drinks, games, a hat contest and a ‘dapper dudes’ best-dressed contest. Then, everyone will watch the race live on TV.

Money raised at the event will be used for arts education programs this summer.

“We have summer camps running nearly every week all summer long, for all ages. We have adult classes. So, there’s plenty of programming we need to support,” said Laura Argenbright, the executive director of Bottle Works Ethnic Arts Center.

The event starts at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday,May 5th at the center on Third Ave. in the Cambria City section of the city.

It runs until 9 p.m. and costs $25 for members and $28 for non-members.
