Our Evan Hinkley shared some highlights from the 3rd Annual L.I.O.N. Bash in downtown State College.
L.I.O.N. stands for Living In One Neighborhood. The bash was a partnership between the State College Borough and Penn State University to connect long-time residents and college students.
There was around 163 different stands that included everything from college clubs to community businesses. This year, the bash was expanded to take up the 100, 200, and 300 blocks of Allen Street.
Hinkley interviewed Douglas Shontz, Communications Specialist, State College Borough, and Molly Nulty, Assistant Director of Welcome Programs, PSU to hear community reaction.
The Bash was available to community members and Penn State students from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
