Penn State announced its working with the Clearwater Conservancy to conserve the Musser Gap Valley lands.
The 365 acre property owned by the university includes walking trails, which may eventually connect to the future site of Whitehall Road Regional Park. That park is currently under development.
This semester a team of graduate students studied the site as part of an upper-level landscape architecture course. The university says future classes will look to develop ideas on how the land should be conserved.
