Johnstown Police Department to hire two additional officers with federal grant money

JOHNSTOWN, CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — The Department of Justice announced that $400 million would be spread to local police departments across the country, including departments in our area.

The Johnstown Police Department will be getting $250,000 of that money that will go to hiring two additional officers.

In a statement, they say this will allow them to expand and contribute more to the community through increased policing efforts.
