JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WTAJ) — The 5th Annual Quantum Quest Fest Science Outreach Event is coming to Johnstown.

The 2019 Quantum Quest Fest features Don Freeburn, a Johnstown native and retired NASA aerospace technologist at Houston on the Apollo Lunar Program.

The theme for the 5th annual event is Human Endeavors, as this marks the 50th Anniversary of the Apollo 11 mission, the first manned landing on the moon.

On May 9, Freeburn will introduce the movie, Quantum Quest Fest: A Cassini Space Odyssey to students at the Greater Johnstown Career and Technology Center.

Students from various schools will be able to attend the event from 11:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.

Saint Francis University’s Science Outreach Center is partnering with Appalachia IU8, Richland Cinemas, Harmony Area and Bishop McCort High Schools to present the event.
