It was announced today by Representative Cris Dush that 24 volunteer fire and ambulance companies in Jefferson and Indiana counties would receive approximately $275,000 from a grant administered by the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency.

All funding comes from the proceed from slot machine gaming and not General Fund tax revenue. Funds will be used for facility upkeep, purchase, and repair of equipment, and training.
