An early morning fire Friday left a family displaced and in need.
The fire broke out on 17th Avenue in Altoona around 4am, according to officials. When they arrived on scene, the living room of one home was in flames. Three homes were impacted by the fire with the middle home being declared a total loss.
The Because We Care Foundation released information on their Facebook page on how to help the family. The post read in part:
“A family of 3 on 10th St and 17th Ave lost everything in a fire early this AM.
they are in need of clothes and anything else that can help them start over.
Girls clothes 14/16, Adult small shirts, Size 9 shoes
Adult male size 34 pants, xl shirts, 11/12 shoes
Adult female 26/28 or 4x, shirts 4x, 10 shoes
Supplies for 4 dogs
