Bedford County officials would like your help to identify human remains found in Snake Spring Township, off of Route 30.
According to Bedford County Coroner Russell Styer, a forensic expert has determined that the bones are of a white male, about five-feet eleven in height, age 50 or older. It’s estimated that the remains have been at the site for three to ten years.
Due to animals, only about ten percent of the remains were there to recovered, but there’s enough for DNA testing. The coroner says it will take months and maybe even a year to get results back.
Anyone with information about the remains is asked to call Pennsylvania State Police at 814-623-6133 or the coroner coroner at 814-623-1105.
