ETNA, Pa. (AP) — Fire officials say a blaze at a sprawling storage facility in Pennsylvania destroyed about 200 antique and classic cars and motorcycles.

Etna Fire Chief Greg Porter says the fire broke out Wednesday around after 2 p.m. at the large commercial building a few miles north of Pittsburgh. Businesses and homes nearby were evacuated due to the size of the blaze, heavy smoke and combustible items in the building. He says residents returned home around 7 p.m.

Three firefighters were sent to hospitals with minor injuries.

Preliminary reports indicate someone was working on a motorcycle on the warehouse’s first floor and it caught fire, sparking the blaze.

Porter says investigators are looking into the possibility of a sprinkler system malfunctioning and no working fire alarms.
