H&R Block collecting winter hats and gloves

Local News

H&R Block in DuBois is collecting winter hats and gloves for adults in need.

Everything collected will go to residents at St. Michael Terrace, an apartment complex for low-income, elderly and disabled tenants in DuBois.

As of Wednesday morning, they had collected around 50 hats and gloves.

They hope to collect enough to give to all 110 residents.

“They’re out and about in the elements, and we all know we’re starting to face really cold Pennsylvania weather,” franchise owner of the DuBois H&R Block Tina Sabados said. “We thought doing this drive with hats and gloves would be an excellent way to give back to our community.”

The drive will last through Monday, December 17.

Adult-sized hats and gloves can be dropped off now through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Monday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
