New research finds how often you weigh yourself may be key to weight loss. A University of Pittsburgh study shows people who weigh themselves daily are more likely to lose weight compared to those who don’t weigh themselves at all or weigh themselves rarely.
The study of more than 1,000 adults shows those who weighed themselves several times a week had more significant weight loss in a year. People who never weighed or weighed once a week lost no weight.
Experts say some people should not weigh every day if they tend to obsess about the scale, because it could increase the risk of an eating disorder.
