Halloween costumes can get expensive, especially when you have an entire family to dress. So SoL Wellness and Gathering Space in DuBois is trying to make Halloween easier on parents and their wallets.
Sunday, SoL is holding a costume swap.
Tara Tyger said her family dresses up for halloween every year, so she’s excited for the swap to give away the costumes they have have piling up.
“My son’s seven and he pulled out a costume he must have had in preschool because it was like power rangers he was busting out of,” Tyger said. “So we have a few costumes that we found we can use, and then we’ll get to find costumes for ourselves.”
How the swap works is simple. You bring in a costume you don’t want anymore, then pick out a new one that someone else has brought in.
There will be costumes for all ages, making it especially helpful for growing kids.
“I know a lot of parents who are coming and bringing a bunch of kids costumes, so switch them out, get a new one, just bring what you don’t want, take what you need,” owner and director of SoL Lisa Sarick said.
The costume swap will take place at SoL Wellness and Gathering Space Sunday from 1-3 p.m.
