The festivities don’t end after Punxsutawney Phil predicts the weather, check out the full list of things to do at in Punxsutawney! 

FRIDAY, FEB. 2:

  • 3 – 8 a.m.: Phil’s 132nd Groundhog Day prognostication. Stage show, fireworks and dancing precede the big announcement at dawn. Gobbler’s Knob, 1548 Woodland Ave. extension.
  • 7 a.m. – 2 p.m.: Annual craft show and sale with groundhog souvenirs and more. Punxsutawney Community Center, 220 N. Jefferson St.
  • 7 a.m. – 8 p.m.: Shadow vineyard wine tasting. 106 W. Mahoning St.
  • 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.: Food and craft vendors. Barclay Square, 300 E. Mahoning St.
  • 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.: Warming and charging station. Punxsutawney Area Historical and Genealogical Society, 400-1 W. Mahoning St.
  • 8 a.m.-noon: Chainsaw wood carving by Randy Rupert of Wizards Workshop. Barclay Square, 300 E. Mahoning St.
  • 8 a.m.-5 p.m.: Art show with cocoa and cookies. Christian School, 216 N. Jefferson St.
  • 8 a.m. – 6 p.m.: Scavenger hunt at the Weather Discovery Center. Cost: $6; children 2 and younger are free. Weather Discovery Center, 201 N. Findley St.
  • 8:30 – 10 a.m.: Ray & Company performance. Celebration tent in Barclay Square, 300 E. Mahoning St.
  • 9 a.m.: Scavenger hunt with prizes. Participants can be solo or hunt in pairs. Celebration tent in Barclay Square, 300 E. Mahoning St.
  • 9-11 a.m.: Phil’s birthday party with gifts for anyone who can prove they have a Feb. 2 birthday. Punxsutawney Community Center, 220 N. Jefferson St.
  • 9 a.m.: Walking tour of Phantastic Phil sculptures with information about the project and trivia. Tour last about 45 minutes. Departs from Phil’s Burrow, 301 E. Mahoning St.
  • 10 a.m.: Groundhog bingo with prizes. Celebration tent in Barclay Square, 300 E. Mahoning St.
  • 10 a.m.: Historical hay ride town tour with refreshments. Punxsutawney Area Historical and Genealogical Society, 400-1 W. Mahoning St.
  • 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.: Vendors and specialty drinks. Ginger Snapped Bakery & Cafe, 113 N. Findley St.
  • 10 a.m.-2 p.m.: Oreo stacking contest for children through age 12. Shop N Save, 201 N. Hampton Ave.
  • 10 a.m.-2 p.m.: Groundhog cookie decorating. Cost: $1 per cookie. Shop N Save, 201 N. Hampton Ave.
  • 10 a.m.-noon: Wedding and vow renewal ceremonies. All weddings are scheduled in advance; no walk-ins available. Civic Center, 301 E. Mahoning St.

  • 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.: Kids corner with free activities. Punxsutawney Community Center, 220 N. Jefferson St.
  • Noon: Autograph session with the Groundhog Club Inner Circle. Celebration tent in Barclay Square, 300 E. Mahoning St.
  • Noon: Samantha Sears live performance. Celebration tent in Barclay Square, 300 E. Mahoning St.
  • 1 p.m.: Magic and illusion show with Dan Kuniak. Celebration tent in Barclay Square, 300 E. Mahoning St.
  • 2 p.m.: Samantha Sears live performance. Celebration tent in Barclay Square, 300 E. Mahoning St.

SATURDAY, FEB. 3:

  • 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.: Art show with hot cocoa and cookies. Christian School, 216 N. Jefferson St.
  • 9 a.m.: Top hat decorating competition. Children will compete in three age groups (through age 12) with limited adult help. All supplies provided. Celebration tent in Barclay Square, 300 E. Mahoning St.
  • 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.: Scavenger hunt at the Weather Discovery Center. Cost: $6; children 2 and younger are free. Weather Discovery Center, 201 N. Findley St.
  • 10 a.m.: Best Groundhog Day and best winter wear dog competition. Three Inner Circle members will judge the costumes and award prizes. Celebration tent in Barclay Square, 300 E. Mahoning St.
  • 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.: Shadow Vineyard wine tasting. 106 W. Mahoning St.
  • 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.: Fun with Folklore self-directed program to explore weather folklore. Cost: $8. Weather Discovery Center, 201 N. Findley St.

  • 10:30 – 11 a.m.: Punxsutawney Phil appearance. Weather Discovery Center, 201 N. Findley St.
  • 1 p.m.: 4-mile Groundhog Jog. Register online or in person from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on race day. Cost: $30. Barclay Square, 300 E. Mahoning St.
  • 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.: Stump Warden’s Soup Kitchen. Try specialty soups and meet Punxsutawney Phil when he drops by at noon. Gobbler’s Knob, 1548 Woodland Ave. extension

  • 8 p.m. – midnight: Groundhog Ball with performance by Rudy and the Professionals. Punxsutawney Phil will be present. Masquerade theme. Punxsutawney Eagles, 238 E. Mahoning St.
