CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — With weather finally getting a little nicer, folks in Cambria County are encouraged to “Take a Hike.”

The Greater Johnstown/Cambria County Convention and Visitors Bureau is hosting their kickoff event for this year’s Geotrail.

This year’s theme is “Take a Hike.”

The Executive Director for the Visitor’s Bureau says community members are encouraged to take advantage of all of the attractions around the county.

“You don’t even have to travel far, but, you know, we encourage that backyard vacation, if you will, and just to take advantage and just see all the wonderful things that Cambria County offers,” Lisa Rager, Executive Director said.

The kickoff event is this Thursday at 11:30. Folks can pick up their geotrail passports and learn more about tourism events coming up next week.
