Throughout the Penn State semester bicycles left and unclaimed on campus are taken by Transportation Services.
This year Transportation Services decided to give bikes to Freeze Thaw Cycles in State College to refurbish and give to Toys for Tots, for teens to enjoy.
“We do realize that there’s people in need that even a $100 bike isn’t in the budget or something like that, so we want to just provide that opportunity,” Justin Wagner, Co-Founder, for Freeze Thaw Cycles, said.
Freeze thaw cycles replaced things like tires, tubes, cables and seats for six mountain bikes and hybrid bikes.
Toys for Tots is giving the bikes to teens in Centre county.
