Former Bishop of Pittsburgh Diocese talks potential resignation

The former Bishop of the Pittsburgh Diocese, Cardinal Donald Wuerl, is planning visit to Rome to discuss his potential resignation with Pope Francis.

Wuerl is the current Archbishop of Washington, D.C., and has faced increased calls to step down over allegations that he covered up for so-called “predator priests.”

He led the Pittsburgh Diocese for 18 years and was implicated in a recent Pennsylvania Grand Jury report.
