Even though football season is months away, thousands filled Penn State Saturday for the annual blue-white scrimmage.
“Always coming back,” Margie Grossman smiled. “Always my favorite place.”
The game turns out a good crowd. Lines to get into the stadium go on and on. For many it’s a tradition they look forward to year after year.
“I just love coming back,” Larry Grossman told us. “I graduated in 1973. If you do the math, been coming back for probably 45 years.”
The fame is to give people an idea of what the Nittany Lions are going to have in store for the upcoming season. Loyal fans wouldn’t miss it for the world.
“We don’t care if its cold or raining,” Tristin Iannone said. “We’re all going to come out and support the team no matter what time of year it is.”
It’s a game day experience unlike any other.
“I don’t know how many schools, there are some, but there are not a whole lot that bring in a crowd like this for a scrimmage,” Margie explained.
Fans even got to interact with the players. They were signing autographs ahead of the game.
