Several organizations will now have access to Automated External Debrillators or AEDs.
AEDs are lifesaving portable devices that can restore normal rhythm to the heart in the critical minutes after heart attacks or other sudden cardiac arrest.
Recently, the Ferguson Township Police purchased new AEDs for patrol cars and the municipal building. They decided then to donate their older models to area businesses. They had them refurbished and Mt. Nittany Health donated about $2,500 to purchase new batteries and pads.
The State College Little League, State College Teener Baseball League, American Legion Post 245, Millbrook Marsh Nature Center, and Centre Region parks and Recreation (CRPR) all received the AEDs.
