FDA warning about medicines sold at Dollar Tree

Local News

The Food and Drug Administration has issued a warning letter about medications sold at Dollar Tree and Family Dollar. According to the FDA, since 2016, the stores have been importing over-the-counter drugs that are potentially unsafe.

The agency says the manufacturers used by Dollar Tree do not test raw materials or finished drugs for bacteria, viruses, and other organisms that cause disease.
