Thirty-four people were arrested Thursday for felony drug charges.
The major drug sweep came after an investigation sparked by the Grand Jury indictments of the drug trade, stretching from New York into Blair County. The investigation was led by the Altoona Police Department and State Police, with the assistance of Operation Our Town, the State Attorney’s Office, and the District Attorney’s Office.
The drugs taken off the street ranged from marijuana to opioids, including heroin.
There are 11 more outstanding warrants as of Friday morning.
