Local News

In Philadelphia, two historic landmarks closed by the government shutdown will reopen for the weekend.

Visit Philadelphia is donating $32,000 to open up the doors for the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall.

The sites will be open Friday – Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

No tickets will be required.

City officials say the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day is the second busiest time of the year for visitors to Independence National Historical Park.
