DA’s office donates iPads to teens

Local News

Local teens are getting to enjoy new ipads thanks to the District Attorney’s office and the Centre County Youth Service Bureau.

The DA’s office gave 9 ipads that they collected from a trial in the Spring ,to CCYSB.
The local family service non-profit then took them to the Bellefonte Youth Center, the Mountain Top Youth Center and to kids in their independent living program.
“There’s kids here in need who don’t have ipads obviously and especially this time of year it’s nice to be able to give back and give those kids a tool and a device that they’re able to use to put to good use,” Zach Barton, Development Director for CCYSB, said.
Students will be able to use the ipads for help with homework and with social skills.
Eight of the ipads have been handed out, the last one is expected to be given to one of the youth centers or CCYSB’s independent living program by next week.
