President Trump’s arrival was mostly closed to the public, so for those who couldn’t get in to see him, this fence became the place to catch a glimpse of his flight back from Shanksville.
As President Trump got off the plane in Johnstown, he was greeted by an excited crowd of service men and women and their families.
But for those who didn’t get to see him first-hand, they gathered at a fence instead.
“Oh my gosh where else would I be today with President Trump in the area,” Johnstown native, Jenny Orner said.
Cell phones and flags in hand, they were waiting to see President Trump’s helicopter return to the airport.
“I figured here’s my chance today to at least support the President and see him when he’s here and I’d really love to see Air Force One take off,” Barry Critchfield, another Johnstown native said.
Even though they didn’t get to meet him this morning, this fence was still the place to be.
“We have our flags and everything, we’ve met some new friends, which is nice. We’re going to meet up at some rallies if he has any more in the area,” Orner said.
President Trump departed the Johnstown airport on Air Force One just before noon today.
